Terms and conditions

Last updated: September 30, 2026

These terms govern your purchase from Genuo. They are written to be read, not to be survived: if anything here is unclear, write to us and we will explain it before you buy.

1. Who you are buying from

This store, Genuo (mygenuo.com), is operated by genuo LLC, a limited liability company organized in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Our address is 7112 Leesville Blvd, Springfield, VA 22151, United States. You can reach us at support@mygenuo.com or through the Contact page. Full details are on the Company information page.

2. What you are buying

You are buying a license key for software published by a third party — Microsoft, in every case we currently sell. You are not buying the software itself, and we are not its publisher. Your right to use the software is governed by the publisher's own license terms, which are between you and them. We are an independent reseller and are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Microsoft.

What we are responsible for is that the key we sell you is what the listing says it is, and that it activates.

3. What the listing tells you, and why

Every product page states the license type, how many devices the license covers, and the region it activates in. Those facts decide whether a license is right for you, and we consider them part of what you are buying. If any of them turns out to be wrong, that is our error — see the Refund policy.

4. Placing an order

Your order is accepted when we send the order confirmation email. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, and the details you give at checkout must be accurate — in particular the email address, because that is where your key is delivered.

We may decline or cancel an order that fails our anti-fraud check. If we do, we refund it in full and tell you by email.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and include no hidden fees; taxes, where they apply, are calculated at checkout. Payment is taken through Shopify's encrypted checkout by the payment providers shown there. We never see or store your full card number.

If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price because of a technical error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than fulfill it — we will tell you if that happens.

6. Delivery

Every order is delivered by email, to the address you give at checkout, usually within minutes and free of charge. Full detail is in the Shipping policy.

7. Activation guarantee

If your key does not activate, we replace it, and that replacement guarantee runs for the life of the license — there is no expiry date on it. If the replacement does not activate either, you get your money back; that refund is available within the first 30 days of purchase, and after that we keep replacing the key until it works. The full terms are on the Activation guarantee page.

8. Refunds and cancellation

Set out in full in the Refund policy. The short version: we refund a key that does not work, and we cannot take back a key you have already revealed and activated.

You can cancel an order until the key is revealed. The key is revealed when you open the delivery email; if you have not opened or used it, tell us and we cancel and refund.

9. Acceptable use

You may not resell keys bought here as new, nor buy in volume for redistribution, without a written agreement with us. If you need licenses for an organization, write to us.

10. Our liability

If we sell you a key that does not work, our responsibility is to replace it or refund you, as set out above. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not responsible for consequential losses — lost work, lost time, lost data — arising from software published by someone else. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud.

11. Your privacy

How we collect and use your personal information is explained in the Privacy policy.

12. Governing law and disputes

If something goes wrong, write to us first: we would rather fix it directly. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, and disputes that cannot be settled between us go to the courts of Fairfax County, Virginia. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country and may also bring a claim in your local courts.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.

14. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms reduces any right you have under the consumer law that applies where you live. Where that law gives you more than these terms do, the law wins.
